About The Probus Club of Phillip Island

The Probus Club Of Phillip Island was established in 1986 to provide a means for people to remain active and enjoy their retirement within our island community. We currently have around 100 members.

The club holds many and varied social activities ranging from regular local lunch events to trips, outings and special interest groups.

We are proudly supported by the Cowes RSL who host our monthly meetings (4th Wednesday of each month starting at 10:30 - doors open at 10am) where we gather to enjoy an open social environment and interesting guest speakers such as musical artists, politicians, local council leaders, police detective, military personnel, fintech and biotech. Recent speakers include:

  • Gold Mine Manager - Walhalla

  • Family Court Judge

  • Myer Lift Driver

  • Crew member from the floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility off Broome

The Probus Club of Phillip Island is an important part of the local community, providing a supportive and welcoming environment.

What's not to love. Come and join in the fun whether you are new to the Island or not. If you would like to attend one of our meetings as a guest please contact us.

Probus clubs are organisations for retired men and women who want to maintain a social network with others who have similar interests. Currently there are about 350,000 members in 4,000 clubs around the world meeting regularly to provide fellowship and camaraderie.
